Metaphysical meaning of Ilai (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Ilai (mbd)
Ilai, i'-lai (Heb.)--elevated; exalted; supreme; uppermost; highest; most high.

"The Ahohite," one of David's mighty men (I Chron. 11:29). In II Samuel 23:28 he is called Zalmon.

Meta. Ahoah, from whom the Ahohites were descended, means friend of Jah, brotherly. The understanding that God is the one Father and that all men are brothers is very uplifting and exalting when accepted by the individual (Ilai). It elevates the consciousness to a higher level, and does much toward bringing about that great realization of oneness which must ultimately exist consciously between God and the whole universe.
