Metaphysical meaning of Ahian (mbd)
Ahian, a-hi'-an (Heb.)--brotherly.
Son of Shemida, a Manassite (I Chron. 7: 19) .
Meta. The significance here is that true understanding expressing in the consciousness of an individual establishes a sense of union with and brotherly kindness toward all mankind and all creation. (Shemida, father of Ahian, is interpreted splendor of wisdom, renowned knowledge, while Manasseh refers to the understanding faculty in man, from the negative standpoint, the standpoint of denial.)
