Metaphysical meaning of Reba (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Reba (mbd)
Reba, re'-bå (Heb.)--four; quarter; fourth part; quadrated; quartered; side of a square; encouch; lie down with; gender; sprout; offspring; bestiality.

One of the five kings of Midian, slain by the Israelites under Moses at the same time that Balaam, son of Beor, was killed (Num. 31:8).

Meta. A ruling thought in the judging and discerning yet very contentious state of mind in man that the Midianites signify (a king of Midian; see MIDIAN and MIDIANITES).

This thought has a fraction of Truth (quarter, fourth part), but expresses this Truth to the building up of sense. Thus it becomes one-sided, unbalanced, in its judgment, and bestial in its activity; it must be put away as error by the real, all-round true thoughts of one's consciousness (Israelites).
