Readers should not mix-up the term "flesh" with the term "body"

Readers should not mix-up the term "flesh" with the term "body". The Greek word used here is "sarx" (flesh) and the Greek term used in I Thess. 5:23 ("Spirit, soul and body") is "soma". Sarx, as noted here, is a state of consciousness. Soma is an integrated part of the whole being, inseparable from spirit and soul in semitic understanding.
