Metaphysical meaning of Ashurites (mbd)
Ashurites, ash'-ur-ites (Heb.)--belonging to Ashhur or Ashur.
A people who occupied the district of the plain of Esdraelon. They are named among those over whom Abner set Ishboseth, son of Saul, as king (II Sam. 2: 9); they were descendants of Ashur, no doubt.
