Metaphysical meaning of Amraphel (mbd)
Amraphel, am'-ra-phel (Heb.)--keeper of the gods; keeper of the treasures; or, speaker of mysteries; enlightener of secrets.
A heathen king of Shinar, in Abraham's time (Gen. 14:1, 9).
Meta. The belief of unawakened man that in generation, physical reproduction, he is fulfilling the creative law of Being. The truth is that the command to be fruitful and multiply and to replenish the earth and subdue it includes the bringing forth and expressing of the ideas of the one Mind. The Word is the creative power of God, and it will transform men into spiritual beings. By the Word every man can build for himself a spiritual body, incorruptible and- immortal.
