Metaphysical meaning of Assos (mbd)
Assos (also called Apollonia), as'-sos (Gk.)--approaching.
A Roman town and seaport in Mysia, Asia, not far from Troas and Mitylene (Acts 20:13).
Meta. An intellectual state of consciousness that is willing to examine into the truth (Apollonia), and is therefore drawing near to (approaching) an understanding of it.
