Metaphysical meaning of Bar-Jesus (mbd)
Bar-Jesus, bär-je'-s us (Gk.)--son of Jesus; son of Joshua.
A Jewish man who was a sorcerer, a false prophet (Acts 13:6). He stood against Paul and Barnabas, and tried to turn the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, from the faith; he was smitten with blindness for a season, in consequence. His Arabic name was Elymas.
