Metaphysical meaning of Beth-anoth (mbd)
Beth-anoth, beth-a'-noth (Heb.)--house of 'Anat; house of answers, i. e., to prayers; house of response; house of reply; house of echo; house of the wailing cry; house of affliction.
A city in the hill country that was, with other towns, allotted to Judah (Josh. 5:59).
Meta. Beth-anoth has much the same significance as Beth-anath, only it does not pertain to the realization of strength specifically. 'Anat, or Anath, represents Spirit's response to the cry of the soul for deliverance from opposing thoughts. Beth-anoth, in the hill country of Judah, signifies a high state of thought, above seeming materiality; by offering prayer and praise (Judah), man can lift himself into this high state and into a realization of Spirit's omnipresence and allness.
