Beth-shittah, beth-sh1t'-tah (Heb.)--place of acacia; house of the acacia.

A place that is mentioned in the account of Gideon's overthrow and pursuit of the hosts of Midian (Judg. 7:22).

Meta. A consciousness of quickening, vitalizing life--a resurrection in consciousness (house, or place, of acacia; acacias refers to resurrection or life). (See SHITTIM and ABEL--SHITTIM.)
