Metaphysical meaning of Binnui (mbd)
Binnui, b;n'-nu-l (Heb.)--a construction; a building; a rebuilding; the building of posterity; familyship.

The name of several different Israelitish men who returned from the Babylonian captivity (Ezra 8:33; 10:30, 38; Neh. 3:24; 7:15; 12:8).

Meta. Constructive, renewing, unifying thoughts in consciousness (a construction, a building, a rebuilding, familyship). Two of these men had taken foreign wives before their return to their own land. This shows that the unifying quality or love quality of the thoughts that are symbolized by the men named Binnui is still more or less material in its nature; it needs a thorough cleansing that it may be raised to a more perfect, spiritual basis. The constructiveness of the thoughts that are signified by the men named Binnui is abiding, is lasting in its character (the building of posterity; posterity means offspring to the furthest generation). One of these men named Binnui is called Bani in another place. The two names are much alike in their meaning and significance. (See BANI.)
