Metaphysical meaning of CAesarea (mbd)
CAesarea, çÆs-a-re'-å (Gk.)--in honor of Caesar; for CÆsar.
A principal city and seaport of Palestine; it was built by Herod the Great (Acts 8:40). CÆsarea was the political capital of Palestine during the time that the country was ruled by the Romans. The Roman ruler of Palestine--the head administrator for the Roman emperor--always lived at CÆsarea.
