Metaphysical meaning of Clopas (mbd)
Clopas (Cleophas--Alphæus), clo'-pas (Gk.)--glory to the father; glorious father; otherwise the same as Alphaeus.
Husband of Mary (John 19:25); he was also called Alphæus, and was the father of one of Jesus' disciples (Matt. 10:3).
