Metaphysical meaning of Dehaites (mbd)
Dehaites (A.V., Dehavites), de-ha'tes (Heb. from Pers.)--villagers.
A Persian colony that was taken to Samaria and settled there after the Israelites were carried away captive (Ezra 4:9).
Meta. A psychical phase of consciousness in man that attempts to take the place of one's true religious and spiritual thoughts (Israelites) when the individual has given himself over to the rule of the intellect guided by sense (the Assyrians and their king).
