Metaphysical meaning of Derbe (mbd)
Derbe, der'-be (Gk.) harsh; stinging; juniper.
Derbe is mentioned with Lystra; they are both towns of Lycaonia in Asia Minor. Paul and Barnabas fled to Lystra and Derbe because of persecution in Iconium (Acts 14:6, 20).
