Metaphysical meaning of Eliphal (mbd)
Eliphal, el'-i-phal (Heb.)--whom God judges; judgment of God; God is my judge.
Son of Ur (I Chron. 11:35). He was one of David's guard of valiant men, and is called Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai, in II Samuel 23:34.
Meta. The recognition by love (David) that God is the true judge of His people--that true judgment, discernment, discrimination, and justice are spiritual and lead to salvation always. (See ELIPHELET.)
