Metaphysical meaning of Emmaus (mbd)
Emmaus, em-ma'-us (Gk.)--mineral springs; medicinal springs; baths.
A village, "threescore furlongs from Jerusalem," to which Cleopas and another of Jesus' disciples were going when Jesus met them, after His resurrection, and taught them from the Scriptures all the things concerning Himself (Luke 24:13).
Meta. A place in consciousness where the healing, restoring love and life and Truth of Spirit spring up and flow freely through man's being.
