Metaphysical meaning of Erastus (mbd)
Erastus, e-ras'-tus (Gk.)--beloved; amiable.
a A native of Corinth, a Christian worker with Paul. Paul sent him with imothy into Macedonia (Acts 19:22; II Tim. 4:20). b A treasurer of the city of Corinth, whence Paul's Epistle to the Romans was sent (Rom. 16:23). Though the texts that are given may all refer to the same man, authorities believe that there were two men by this name.
