Metaphysical meaning of Gimzo (mbd)
Gimzo, g,lm'-zo (Heb.)--producing sycamores; place fertile in sycamores; one acute-minded; sagacious.
A city in the south part of the lowland of Judah. The Philistines took this city from Judah and lived in it (II Chron. 28:18).
Meta. Sense shrewdness, subtleness, and wisdom (one acute-minded sagacious; this city reverted to the Philistines). Jesus said in one of His parables: "The sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light" (Luke 16:8).
