Metaphysical meaning of Harnepher (mbd)
Harnepher, här'-ne-pher (Heb.)--snoring; snorting; panting; hard breathing, i.e., through the nose.
Son of Zophah, of the tribe of Asher (I Chron. 7:36).
Meta. Difficulty in realizing spiritual inspiration (breathing is symbolical of receiving inspiration, while panting is a shortened or labored breathing) because of the prevalence of outer activities of the personal and animal in consciousness (this latter is suggested in snoring, snorting).
