Metaphysical meaning of Hasshub (mbd)
Hasshub (A.V., Hashub, except I Chron. 9:14), has'-shub (Heb.)--thinking; reasoning; apprehending with understanding; regarding; considering; comprehending; esteeming; associating; meditating; purposing; inventing; enlightening with intelligence.
a A Levite (I Chron. 9:14). b The name of two men who helped repair the wall of Jerusalem (Neh. 3:11, 23). c One who joined Nehemiah in sealing the covenant (Neh. 10:23).
Meta. Its significance is much the same as Hashubah, which see. This trend of thought is highly esteemed in consciousness because of its intelligent association with spiritual ideals, and because of its kindly consideration of the other thoughts and ideas of the mind. It has partaken of that love essence which must impregnate the knowing qualities of mind that they may always act in the right spirit and so not stir up opposition.
