Metaphysical meaning of Hathach (mbd)
Hathach (A.V., Hatach), ha'-thach (Heb. fr. Pers.)--verity; of the inner part; the central court; who strikes; a gift.
One of King Ahasuerus' chamberlains whom the king appointed to wait on Queen Esther. It was he who learned from Mordecai of the king's decree to destroy all the Jews, and told Esther of it (Esth. 4:5-10).
Meta. A sense of Truth (verity) in the seemingly mortal consciousness of man, which becomes a servant to divine love (Esther). Since this thought activity is really spiritual (of the inner part), it has access to the spiritual as well as the carnal in the individual. It reveals to the spiritual love quality the workings of the Adversary (Haman) to destroy the true thoughts and activities (the Jews). This thought for which Hathach stands, therefore, does its part in eliminating the Adversary and his functioning in consciousness; it becomes a real gift from God in defending and establishing the Truth.
