Metaphysical meaning of Hazazon-tamar (mbd)
Hazazon-tamar (in A.V., Genesis 14. 7, Hazezon-tamar), haz'-a-zon-ta'-mär (Heb.) a division of palms; pruning of the palms; felling of palms; victory divided; excellence cut in pieces; a column cut in pieces.
The place where the Moabites and the Ammonites camped when they came to battle against Jehoshaphat, king of Judah (II Chron. 20:2).
Meta. A divided mind. This must be conquered before one can become fearless, and so gain a real victory over error. When the thoughts are divided, the results are divided, not satisfactory.
