Metaphysical meaning of Hen (mbd)
Hen, hen (Heb.)--grace; favor; kindness; beauty; elegance; restful.
Son of Zephaniah. Hen was one of those for whom the crowns were to be made (Zech. 6:14).
Meta. Mercy, kindness (the margin gives, "for the kindness of the son," in place of, "to Hen the son of Zephaniah"). Hen therefore pertains to the kindly, charitable, merciful attitude of mind in man, which brings great reward, true peace (restful), and overcoming power (crown). "With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful" (Psalms 18: 25). "With what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you" (Matt. 7:2).HENADAD"If ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you" (Matt. 6:14).
