Metaphysical meaning of Herodians (mbd)
Herodians, he-ro'-dl-ans (fr. Gk.)--Jewish political party.
A class of Jewish people who favored the Romans and Roman rulers. They were among those who sought to entrap and condemn Jesus (Matt. 22:16; Mark 3:6).
Meta. Thoughts that belong to man's old-established religious ideas, but in character are very selfish and material, even as Herod and the Romans were. They bitterly and actively oppose and seek to kill out of consciousness the higher Christ life and its ideals and activities.
