Metaphysical meaning of Hupham (mbd)
Hupham, hu'-pham (Heb.)--coastman; seashore; bank; covered; under cover; veiled; protected; secret; covert.
Son of Benjamin, and head of the family of the Huphamites (Num. 26:39).
Meta. A coastman is one who lives on or near the seashore; in all likelihood he is a fisherman, which symbolizes a gatherer of ideas, fish representing ideas, especially ideas of increase. This seeking out and gathering of true ideas of increase, together with an active faith (Benjamin) in the good only, becomes a protection to the individual.
