Metaphysical meaning of Hushathite (mbd)
Hushathite, hu'-shath-ite (fr. Heb.)--name for the dwellers in Hushah.
Sibbecai the Hushathite was one of David's valiant men (II Sam. 21:18). He was appointed captain over twenty-four thousand who served King David in the eighth month of each year (I Chron. 27:11). In II Samuel 23:27 he is called Mebunnai; at least it is supposed that these two men are the same.
