Metaphysical meaning of Illyricum (mbd)
Illyricum, il-lyr'-i-cum (Gk.)--joy; rejoicing; exultation; high.
A country north of Macedonia and on the east shore of the Adriatic. Paul "fully preached the gospel of Christ" from Jerusalem to Illyricum (Rom. 15:19).
Meta. The joy, gladness, and upliftment of thought that takes possession of the whole man, even to his outer consciousness, when the gospel of Christ, the word of Truth, has been taught and declared throughout the entire being, from Jerusalem, the inner spiritual center, to the outermost phases of thought.
