Metaphysical meaning of Joelah (mbd)
Joelah, jo-e'-lah (Heb.)--whom Jehovah helps up; whom Jehovah raises; he who will stand upon the summit; lifting up; rising to eminence; profiting.
Son of Jeroham of Gedor, and one of those who came to David at Ziklag (I Chron. 12:7).
Meta. A strong, uplifting, redeeming thought springing from the spiritual ideas of divine love, mercy, compassion, and support (Jeroham), and based on man's innate belief in divine protection (Gedor). This thought becomes a great help in establishing the dominion of love in the religious consciousness of the individual (in putting David on the throne of Israel).
