Metaphysical meaning of Leummim (mbd)
Leummim, le-um'-mim (Heb.)- peoples; nations; multitudes; no water; without water.
Son of Dedan and great-grandson of Abraham and Keturah (Gen. 25:3). He founded an Arabian tribe.
Meta. Great increase and multiplication of thoughts in consciousness. Peoples, nations, multitudes, all refer to numerous thoughts and states of consciousness in the individual. Here, they would belong to the earthly, carnal phase of man's being, but with a tendency toward higher, better things. (See ABRAHAM and KETURAH, from whom Leummim was descended). However, as yet there is a dryness (without water), a lack of real spiritual quickening, so that this earthly phase of the individual consciousness is not at this stage of unfoldment brought to a higher level, to spiritual understanding and expression.
