Metaphysical meaning of Lucius (mbd)
Lucius, lu'-cius (Lat.)--light; light bearer, illuminative; born of light.
A prophet or teacher in the church at Antioch (Acts 13:1). In Romans 16:21 he is mentioned as being Paul's kinsman, and some think him to be the same person as Luke.
Meta. Lucius (light, illuminative) pertains to spiritual understanding and its expression in the awakening consciousness of man. The five prophets and teachers at Antioch, one of whom was Lucius of Cyrene, are the interpreters of Spirit to the outer or sense consciousness. (See LUKE.)
