Metaphysical meaning of Malluch (mbd)
Malluch, mal'-luch (Heb.)--ruler; counselor; judge; king.
A Merarite Levite whose great-grandson, Ethan, stood on the left hand of Heman the singer while ministering with song before the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, in David's reign (I Chron. 6:44). There were other Israelites and priests by this name also (Ezra 10:29 32; Neh. 12:2).
Meta. The different men named Malluch signify thoughts belonging to our natural religious tendencies, and our highest religious and spiritual understanding (Levites, priests, and other Israelites), as ruling in consciousness and acting as counselors to us.
