Metaphysical meaning of Mareshah (mbd)
Mareshah, ma-re'-shah (Heb.)--head; highest; chief; summit; top of a hill; summit of a mountain; beginning; foremost; first principle; most precious.
a A city in the lowland of Judah (Josh. 15:44). b "Father" of Hebron, in the genealogy of Judah (I Chron. 2:42). c Son of Laadah, of Judah (I Chron. 4:21).
Meta. Mareshah refers to Spirit, Divine Mind, first principle, the beginning or source of all that really is. Since Mareshah is the name of men and of a city, it bespeaks that in the individual consciousness which recognizes Spirit as one's true source and sustenance.
