Metaphysical meaning of Naam (mbd)
Naam, na'-am (Heb.)--comity; concord; amity; sociability; sweetness; pleasantness; delightfulness; abundant good.
Son of Caleb (I Chron. 4:15).
Meta. Wisdom's ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. Naam (comity, amity, pleasantness, sweetness, delightfulness, and abundant good) signifies the joy and gladness, the harmony and satisfaction, that are the result of a true, faithful spirit, and of enthusiastic faith in God. Caleb, the father of Naam, represents faith and enthusiasm, he was a good man, and it was said of him that "he wholly followed Jehovah, the God of Israel" (Josh. 14:14). Naam represents the result of such a life; the result is set forth in Psalm 16:6:"The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places;Yea, I have a goodly heritage."
