Metaphysical meaning of Nebat (mbd)
Nebat, ne'-bat (Heb.)--look; behold; regard; see; view; perceive, i. e., with the eye.
Father of Jeroboam, of the tribe of Ephraim (I Kings 11:26).
Meta. A willing or determining to look into matters, to perceive or understand (look, behold, regard, see, view, perceive, i. e., with the eye; the eye, or seeing, beholding, always relates to understanding).
Nebat was of the tribe of Ephraim (the will), and his son Jeroboam became the first king of Israel after the nation of Israel was divided into two kingdoms, Judah and Israel. Israel, the part that Jeroboam ruled, represents the objective consciousness in the individual.
