Metaphysical meaning of Nehelamite (mbd)
Nehelamite, ne-hel'-a-mite (fr. Heb.) --dreamed; dreamer; dreaming; divine communication; healed; recovered; sound; strong; robust.
Shemaiah the Nehelamite was a false prophet in the time of Jeremiah (Jer. 29:24, 31, 32).
Meta. The imagination (dreamed, dreamer; Joseph, the son of Jacob, who represents the faculty of imagination in individual consciousness, was called a dreamer by his brothers, Gen. 37:19) directed by personal ambition and unbalanced by true understanding and good judgment (Shemaiah the Nehelamite was a false prophet). Directed by spiritual understanding, the imaging faculty leads to wholeness and soundness of mind and body (healed, recovered, sound, strong).
