Metaphysical meaning of Obal (mbd)
Obal, o'-bal (Heb.)--extreme attenuation of matter; uncovered; stripped; bare; naked; barren.
Son of Joktan (Gen. 10:28). In I Chronicles 1:22 he is called Ebal.
Meta. The bareness, nakedness. nothingness of all that is not founded in Truth. Those who hold to material beliefs and do not enter into understanding and practice of spiritual Truth must experience age, decay, deterioration of consciousness and body; they enter into a seemingly very barren state of existence.
