Metaphysical meaning of Ptolemais (mbd)
Ptolemais, ptol-e-ma'-is (Gk.)--warlike; terrifying.
A city in Palestine, on the Mediterranean coast, a place that Paul went to from Tyre (Acts 21:7). It is the same place as the Acco of the Israelitish tribe of Asher, mentioned in Judges 1:31.
