Salem, sa'-lem (Heb.)--whole, sound; complete; perfect; finished; summit; peace; concord; friendship.
The city of Melchizedek. It is thought to have been the same city that was later called Jerusalem (Gen. 14:18; Heb. 7:1, 2).
