Metaphysical meaning of Seled (mbd)
Seled, se'-led (Heb.)--springing up; leaping up; exulting; burning; roasting; consuming; torment; affliction.
Son of Nadab, descended from Jerahmeel, named in the genealogy of Judah. Seled died without sons (I Chron. 2:30).
Meta. A very emotional, changeable state of thought, and like experiences (springing up, leaping up, exulting, burning, consuming, torment; the idea in the name is that of jumping up and down in excess of emotion, whether joy or pain. This changeable, emotional, unpoised state of thought that is not established in the one omnipresent good does not bring forth any positive results for good. (Seled died without sons).
