Metaphysical meaning of Semachiah (mbd)
Semachiah, sem-a-chi-ah (Heb.)--Jehovah sustains him; whom Jah upholds; who leans upon the Lord; joined to Jehovah.
Son of Shemaiah, and grandson of Obed-edom (I Chron. 26:7).
Meta. One who is consciously joined to Jehovah and leans upon the Lord; who is supported and sustained by Jehovah, the indwelling Christ or Father (Jehovah sustains him, whom Jah upholds).
