Metaphysical meaning of Shabbethai (mbd)
Shabbethai, shab'-be-thai (Heb.)--Sabbath-born; seventh birth; my restoration; my rest.
a A Levite who helped Ezra in the matter of those who had taken foreign wives (Ezra 10:15). b One of those who helped Ezra to cause the people to understand the law, after the return from the Babylonian captivity (Neh. 8:7; 11:16).
Meta. Abiding thoughts of peace and Truth, or an abiding consciousness of Truth, born of the silence, prayer, of the giving up of one's personal desires and workings, and an entering into conscious unity with Spirit, that God may work in and through one to will and to do according to His good pleasure (my rest, Sabbath-born).
