Metaphysical meaning of Shamlai (mbd)
Shamlai (A. V., Shalmai), sham'-lai (Heb.)--my thanks; my reward; Jah is recompenser; Jehovah makes whole; my garment.
His descendants were among the Nethinim who returned with Zerubbabel from the Babylonian captivity (Ezra 2:46). In Nehemiah 7:48, he is called Salmai.
