Metaphysical meaning of Shammoth (mbd)
Shammoth, sham'-moth (Heb.)--amazement; awe; laid waste; desolation; destruction; ruin; rumor; report; repute; fame; renown.
One of David's mighty men (I Chron. 11:27). In II Samuel 23:25, he is called Shammah. Shamhuth of I Chronicles 27:8 is thought to be the same man.
