Metaphysical meaning of Shiloah (mbd)
Shiloah, shi-lo'-ah (Heb.)--a sending forth; emission; a ray; inspiration; luminous ash; emissary; messenger; sending of water; conduit; aqueduct; pool; reservoir; fountain.
The same place as Siloam. Isaiah 8:6 tells of "the waters of Shiloah that go softly."
Meta. The flowing forth of peace throughout the consciousness (a sending forth) by a putting away of error and a giving of attention to Spirit ("that go softly" bespeaks attentiveness and obedience, also quietness; see ). This word is related to every emission of good, whether it be a ray of light, a flash of illumination, an inspiration, or anything else that moves along in peace and order.
