Metaphysical meaning of Shilonite (mbd)
Shilonite (in A. V., Nehemiah 11:5, Shiloni), shi-lo-nite (fr. Heb.).
a Descendants of Judah who reoccupied Jerusalem after the return from the Babylonian captivity (I Chron. 9:5). These are thought to be the same as the Shelanites, descendants of Shelah, Judah's son (Num. 26:20). b Ahijah the Shilonite (I Kings 11:29) was a native of the city of Shiloh.
