Metaphysical meaning of Shumathites (mbd)
Shumathites, shu'-math-ites (fr. Heb.) --fragment; odorous; pungent; acrid; smelling.
A family of Kiriath-jearim, descended from Shobal, son of Caleb (I Chron. 2:53).
Meta. A group of thoughts of a discriminative, intuitive character (fragrant, odorous, pungent, smelling), and belonging to or located in the thought and nerve center that Kiriath-jearim represents. (See SHOBAL and KIRIATH-JEARIM.)
