Metaphysical meaning of Talitha (mbd)
Talitha, tal'-i-thå (Gk. fr. Aram.)--fresh; young; new; tender; maiden; damsel. Talitha cumi--damsel, arise; (maiden, stand up; little girl, come forth; arising of newness).
The words that Jesus spoke to the daughter of the ruler of the synagogue when He restored her to life. "And taking the child by the hand, he saith unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, Arise" (Mark 5:41).
Meta. Talitha (fresh, young, new, damsel, maiden) refers here to the soul, which is being awakened to a new, higher, and fuller realization of life by the I AM or Christ consciousness in the individual.
