Telem, te'-lem (Heb.)--overshadowing; oppression; wrongdoing.
a A southern city of Judah (Josh. 15:24). b A porter in the Temple. He had married a foreign woman, but gave her up at the command of Ezra (Ezra 10:24).
Meta. The higher thought and life obscured, overshadowed for the time being, by the seeming reality and power of some carnal belief in error (overshadowing, oppression, wrongdoing).
