Metaphysical meaning of Zabbud (mbd)
Zabbud, zab'–bud (Heb.)--given; donated; bestowed; endowed; dowered.
Son of Bigvai. He returned from the Babylonian captivity with Ezra (Ezra 8:14). The margin says, "Another reading is, Zaccur."
Meta. An awakening to the fact that man is furnished with a permanent, inexhaustible source of life, love, wisdom, intelligence, power, strength--every good that he can need or desire (endowed, given, bestowed). This source is God Himself, who in the ideal Man, the Son, Christ, is the true self of everybody and expresses in and through each individual just to the extent that the individual gives Him cooperation.
